Overview One full-time equivalent (FTE) for on-site subject matter expert (SME) support necessary for the direction, guidance, and supervision of U.S. Air Force international Electronic Warfare (EW) programs. The position shall assist with myriad legacy EW programs. Act as an EW SME to support international partners and FMS customers. Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the implementation of USAF, DoD and US Government policies pertaining to the export of EW systems; support the transfer of EW systems, technology, and information to foreign working groups and travel to meet SAF/IA interests in various FMS programs.
  • The SME is responsible for duties as described by the Weapons, Disclosure and Technology Transfer Division Chief, to include participating in international and interagency governments via Foreign Military Sales; provide EW SME for senior SAF/IA, USAF, and DoD leaders; assist with the management of the USAF Electronic Combat International Security Assistance Program (ECISAP).
  • While providing support for the implementation of US EW export policy, the candidate shall provide assistance with the following: researching and analyzing EW equipment capabilities for proper application and interpretation of existing policy positions; assessing the impacts to US forces of advanced EW capabilities and presenting estimates to USAF leadership, DoD, and interagency groups; serving as the Air Force SME for Joint, DoD, and interagency matters involving Air Force international interests with EW systems; advocating for USG acceptance of USAF positions to support USAF initiatives that enhance allied interoperability or improve coalition combat capabilities; and serving as the Air Force SME for matters involving the exportability of EW systems, their functionality and interoperability.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to manage a portfolio of high priority projects with competing demands simultaneously and provide ad hoc project status reports on demand. The candidate will be able to independently identify and define issues, develop solution approaches, and initiate actions to resolve issues/complete tasks with little or no guidance.
  • The candidate should possess a working knowledge and familiarization of the USG intelligence community breakdown/structure, and a thorough understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each of the 3 letter agencies such as DIA, CIA, NSA, FBI, etc.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree
  • Active Top Secret required
  • Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program experience with international partner nations
  • Rated Air Force fighter experience
  • Air Force EW systems and technology
  • Air Force Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Air Force Security Assistance (SA) experience
