Systems Engineer Chief

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Program Consultant to work with our Chantilly, VA based customer. The general responsibilities of this position will be to provide focused senior-level advice and support in strategy development, program planning, budget planning and coordination of strategic efforts. In this role, you will need to anticipate requirements and be ready to recommend actions, responses and initiatives.Specific duties include:Support for strategic planning, program planning and budget formulation at the executive level

Development of executive correspondence, program briefings, etc.

Support in the development of Department policies, and procedures

Management support to the CX Director and Deputy in execution of defense R&D programs in accordance with DoD and DTRA Directives

Coordination of A&AS program support across six Divisions within the Department.

QualificationsBachelors and eigtheen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen years or more experience

Experience in the development and management of Research and Development programs

Experience with DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) and financial management policies and processes

Experience in preparing briefings for senior Government officials

Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint.

The ideal candidate thinks at the strategic level, is thorough, has mature judgement, and can work under time pressure

Completion of Defense Acquisition University courses or certification under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act

Active TS/SCI w/polygraph
