Certified Medical Assistant / Patient Navigator

The Strive Group, on behalf of its client, is recruiting for a Medical Assistant. A current CMA certification, a current BLS/CPR certification and no less than two years’ experience is required to be considered for the position.

Patient Navigation is key to this position. While the incumbent will be responsible for a variety of duties, the list below highlights what the client considers most valuable to the organization:

Preparing patient records prior to scheduled visits. Often the records are scattered between different providers so the ideal incumbent will be personable and fully able to communicate with external organizations to obtain records and information in a timely manner.

Rooming patients. A commitment to service driven by patience, compassion and empathy for the patient go a long way to getting the patient in the exam room on time with vital signs complete, medication reconciled, and the intake questionnaire completed and entered into the electronic health records.

Communicating with the doctors. This means being comfortable with giving the doctor a heads up when new information surfaces about a patient, and it also means that incumbent is pro-active with gathering and sharing information with the treatment team.
