Junior Reports Developer/Data AnalystLocation: Garden City, NYDuration: long term contract + conversion permanentKey Skills: SQL, queries, data extraction, data validation, Excel, ERP experience is a plus ERP Applications:Strong knowledge and extensive experience with large scale ERP applications including Payroll/HR and Accounting - Financials Software applicationsAbility to learn and review delivered application functionality and underlying development tools and utilitiesAbility to assess and analyst delivered application functionality in comparison with end user requirements and business processesAct as a liaison with end users in defining and clarifying functional requirements and in conveying specifications to developersAutomate business processes utilizing various software toolsQuery / Report Development & Data Review:Ability to define, design and develop various reports across several development environmentsAbility to convert, integrate and manipulate data across various applicationsAbility to define and develop application test scenarios and to compare data discrepancies on a mass basisAbility to develop complex queriesAbility to understand application data in conjunction with and the underlying data record structuresAbility to test and validate query/report data for accuracy and record integrityDevelop and/or modify programs typically related to database updates, records modifications, processing of data and reportingProject Management:Ability to develop detailed project plans and manage project and teamPerform various aspect of application upgrades including but not limited to project planning, fit-gap analysis, defining customization specs, end-user training, application and interface testing and report developmentMiscellaneous:Develop documentationPlans and provide end-user trainingSecurity implementationWork with third party interfaces and software. Includes creation of interface files and processing/scheduling automationSkills:Must have strong analytics skillsStrong knowledge of relational databases and proficient in SQL developmentProficient in MS Office Excel and Access. Knowledge of MS Access and adept at working with of Numeric, Character, Date, and Logical Functions is a plusKnowledge of structured programming is a plusExperience with government accounting is a plusEducation:Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems/Information Technology/Computer Science with a minimum of two semesters of Accounting principles ORBachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting with coursework in Computer Programming, Management Information Systems and Relational Databases
