Job Description

Your experience as a Plant Administrative Coordinator makes you a perfect fit to join our team at our Weirton, WV plant. In this role, you will perform administrative and clerical operations for the Plant including the Maintenance Department. This will include, accounts payable, reviewing invoices, creating purchase orders, routine clerical duties, and furnishing reports. This position is in an industrial setting. You will be required to be “on the floor” and around equipment on a regular basis.

Some of your Responsibilities include:

  • Develops, compiles, formats and enters data into the Preventative Maintenance (PM) computer program.

  • Serves as a Buyer in the research of sources, pricing and purchasing of Department parts, supplies and services.

  • Maintains maintenance parts & supplies inventory records and initiates purchasing process when levels go below predetermined minimum levels.

  • Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts and assemblies both interdepartmentally and intradepartmental.

  • Generates Reports and Purchase orders from AS/400 system.

  • Performs varied clerical duties requiring knowledge of general departmental and corporate office practices and procedures.

  • Maintains records, checks data and prepares standard reports.

  • Will do typing and related office work using PC’s.

  • Notifies appropriate personnel when in-house stock reaches order point or when ordered material is past scheduled delivery date.

  • Others as may be assigned.

Qualifications

As the selected candidate you will have a Minimum of a High School diploma and one to three years of experience in a clerical or administrative position at a manufacturing facility.

  • Typing 45 wpm and good business writing, editing & proofreading skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical parts & equipment gained from working in an industrial maintenance department or tool crib.

  • Organization skills and ability to start and complete tasks on a deadline with little supervision.

  • Ability to handle multiple rush items and function while under pressure of production line demands.

  • Ability to interact with all employees, customers, vendors and other contacts in a positive, business-like manner.

  • Regular and on-time attendance.
