- Lead EHS activities; championing continuous improvement efforts, develop/maintain programs, compliance, and initiatives
- Lead the Employee Safety Committee, developing relationships with business leaders across the site
- Promote safety from all aspects; from inspections, potential hazards, investigations into injuries, and develop CAPAs (corrective and preventative actions)
- Manage and track training programs (new / existing hires & Contractors), enhance training materials as needed.
- Be responsible for internal/external reporting, ensuring compliance at the federal/state/local levels (scheduling/maintaining records, logs)
- Primary emergency response coordinator
- Manage workers compensation injuries & return to work activities
- HR Generalist duties as needed; assist with recruiting and onboarding of hourly and temporary labor; orientations, meet/greet, processing of documentation (and employee changes)
- Bachelor's Degree desired (Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or similar)
- 2+ years of Environmental, Health and Occupational Safety experience
- 1+ year experience in Human Resources; or strong employee relations experience
- Required knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Desired knowledge in all or some of the following: Electrical Safe Work Practices, Confined Space Rescue, Blood Borne Pathogen Training, Powered Industrial Truck Training
