Electrician – Shift- Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday-Sunday (every Sunday is required) 12 hour shift – 8pm -8amFunctions To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture Receive training as required Perform various positions as required/assignedDescriptionThis position is responsible for general electrical maintenance throughout the plant while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Tasks RequirementsApplicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered.

Must have at least 1 year electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.

You must have 6 months of work history with one employer within the past 12 months.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Must have good oral communication skills to discuss issues with the Power Systems Manager.

Must be able to understand information contained in Electrical manuals and blue prints.

Completion of electrician apprenticeship.

You will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems. To perform this role you must have an electricians degree from a technical college and at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment working on simple and complex electrical systems.ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

Read technical diagrams and blueprints.

Perform general electrical maintenance.

Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.

Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

Follow National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations.

Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.

Good knowledge of various test equipment
