job summary:Randstad is seeking a AWS Operations Engineer to join the EDA Sustain operations team for a financial services client. As part of the team you will be responsible for creating and maintaining integrations which communicate with external services like Pega and Snowflake databases, importing and exporting billions of data events and actions every day across the platform. Provide comprehensive production and development support, including researching customer questions and issues raised via incident process, problem definition and solution, ticket documentation, and customer support. Our client integrates with a high number of APIs, all with different requirements so the challenge lies in creating and maintaining both high throughput and reliable connections across all the services. In addition to supporting the connections, you will also be responsible for maintaining the processes and tools that enable faster and more reliable integrations to expand the capabilities of our client's Customer Data Platform. location: Charlotte, North Carolinajob type: Contractsalary: $60 - 65 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:

  • Work on Production issues and defects to provide timely diagnostics, recommendations and resolution
  • Work with critical development, test and software vendor(s) on issues that need diagnostics, configuration or data changes and/or code fixes
  • Continuously inspect and adapt methods for meeting scalability, reliability, security and performance objectives
  • Ability to document and explain complex cloud environments to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Participate in 24x7 system reliability support, troubleshooting and incident management activities
  • Identify areas of improvement, implementing automation and monitoring and inspection of outputs and resulting data where appropriate
  • Support of software releases, testing and system patching and upgrades, provide production support sign-off for new versions
  • Liaison between the IT Agile squads and the Business/Operations teams
  • Utilize and monitor internal application performance utilizing monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery.
  • Maintain resiliency and availability of the integrations for all internal and external APIs
  • Position has the potential to become fulltime and candidates need to be eligible to be hired fulltime without sponsorship.
