Accounting Clerk/Assistant to the Controller

Accounting position open with a fun, family owned construction business. Position is Assistant Controller. Duties include all phases of general bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, G/L, payroll, fixed assets and depreciation. Initial duties will be learning cost accounting, coding, entering invoices, reconciling AP accounts, check runs, customer service with vendors as well as miscellaneous tasks. After a few months, the intent is to have this person pick up more of the workload by helping the controller with additional duties that include payroll, bank statements and general ledger work.

Looking for someone with an accounting degree, although years of experience may substitute. Work ethic to include, quick learner, efficiency, and confidentiality is a must.

Must have reliable transportation or ability to be dependable.

This is a salary position and compensation is competitive.

Company offers a benefits package and typical schedule of Monday-Friday, 8-5 or more depending on work load.

Experience with Sage Contractor is a plus, however, willing to train the right individual.
