Veterinary Assistant / Animal Care Technician

We are looking for a very motivated and responsible individual to help us care for our hospital patients in our busy clinic in North Phoenix. You will help the doctor and the technicians with animal restraint, giving medications, feeding, and other animal care. Position will also include stocking of supplies, end of day closing and cleaning.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Veterinary Assistant at our hospital we expect you to provide the highest quality of patient care.

Care and Treatments of Hospitalized and patient animals

Perform animal restraint and provide medications.

Stocking, cleaning, laundry, and clinic setup.

Organization and Sanitization of our facilities.

Perform TPR, in a gentle and skilled manner.

Requirements:

1-3 years experience caring for animals in a veterinary setting.

Knowledgeable and experienced with excellent animal restraint, some veterinary terminology, and giving medications.

Responsible, motivated, and willing to work hard.

Must have initiative, attention to detail, and a very positive attitude.

Must have compassion with a desire to help people and their pets.

Work well with others in a busy and intense environment.

Only those with previous experience will be considered.
