Job Description:

Energy Sales Manager

Energy Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Account Executives.

Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that endures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Executives.

Prepares action plans by individuals as well as team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.

Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.

Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.

Creates and Conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.

Assists Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations.

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Recruits, tests, and hires Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by Senior management

Maintain a high level of ethics and professionalism both at work and in personal conduct.

Energy Sales Manager Routine Tasks

Energy Sales Manager Duties

- Accomplish marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions, planning and reviewing compensation actions, enforcing policies and procedures.

- Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements, implementing change.

- Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products, analyzing trends and results, establishing, pricing, strategies & recommending selling prices.

- Monitors costs, competition, supply, and demand.

- Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, Merchandising, trade promotion programs, and developing field sales action plans.

- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.

- Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities.

- Updates job Knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
