IT Project Manager

Description:6+ months. Projects include software upgrades, customizing eCommerce solutions, enhancing existing order processes to support standardized business operations, and migrating data center to the cloud. Remote until office reopens.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive projects to success and ensure on schedule/budget delivery within predefined project scope
  • Track and report resource and schedule variances and develop contingency plans
  • Conduct ground level activities as needed
  • Provide full scope of project management on all project activities, including business expectations, project scope and requirements, communication, change, resources, and task execution
  • Evaluate and manage project dependencies, risks, and issues and bring all to resolution
  • Acquire and effectively employ all project resources
  • Work across all functional areas, including all IS service vendors, and drive activities to completion
  • Manage vendor relations and drive vendor deliverables and artifacts.
  • Forecasting, prepare financial updates, schedule expenditures, analyze variance, and initiate/execute corrective actions
  • Report on project progress and communicate to the team

Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience), advanced degree preferred
  • At least 12 years of IS experience, including solutioning, system development, architecture design, QA, and resource management.
  • At least 8 years of hands on experience leading the execution of full end-to-end IS projects and portfolios using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Proven capabilities in IS project financial management
  • Experience working in FDA regulated business under Validated Computer Systems
  • Experience with MS Project, Confluence, LucidChart, Jira, MS Excel (formulas, macros, graphs), and PowerPoint
  • Experience with program/project management methodologies, standards, deliverables and reporting
  • Experience with risk/issue management and mitigation, change management, communication management, and resource management
  • Experience leading business case development efforts, including producing relevant documentation and presentations for Business/Finance review
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Ability to serve as a mentor and role model to the project team
  • Knowledge of and experience with eCommerce and ERP solutions and architectures
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities and in-depth analytical skills
  • Ability to insert self in the midst of project activities and quickly gain control on all aspects
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills
  • Professional training in IS Project Management and IS Portfolio Management (PPM) strategies, processes, and tools a plus
  • Certified Scrum Master/Product Owner a plus
