Maintenance Working Foreman Well established and growing Food and Beverage Company in Phoenix is adding Maintenance Foreman to their team. You will lead a team of Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and work closely with the Operations, Sanitization, and Quality teams to provide routine maintenance and repairs to keep production as efficient as possible. This position will work overnights, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, on a 2-2-3-2-2-3 rotating shift and start as soon as a qualified individual is identified. A strong benefit package is offered.QUALIFICATIONS: Skills & Abilities: -Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions in English. -Must be able to work 12 hour shifts. - Ability to operate a forklift. -Intermediate applied understanding of: Industrial electrical systems; Industrial pneumatic systems; industrial boiler systems; industrial refrigeration systems, motors, compressors, gear boxes and pumps. -Knowledge of packaging equipment systems and repair. -Knowledge of equipment systems troubleshooting and repair. -Knowledge of liquid processing systems troubleshooting and repair. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians in electrical, mechanical, and process maintenance. -Ensure that all maintenance activities are executed to improve reliability, safety, quality. -Plan, coordinate and prioritize maintenance needs with production requirements. -Maintain equipment histories, repair records, frequency needs. -Plan and direct the maintenance of all plant equipment with minimum cost and high reliability. -Develop and implement procedures to ensure spare parts availability and control. -Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance program. -Actively participate in plant safety efforts. Lead the maintenance safety program to achieve plant safety goals. Ensure zero injuries in the team. -Provide training, coaching and development opportunities to the maintenance team. -Assist management in preparing for regular audits. (USDA, AIB, etc.). -Perform basic operations involved in the servicing and maintenance of machine tools, hand and power tools and machine attachments. -Checking of compressors, refrigeration equipment and boilers. -Repair of service piping and plumbing fixtures. -Checking and cleaning of motors, relays and contacts. -Repair/replace worn or defective parts. -Use hand and power tools, simple machine tools. -Help with equipment moving. -Ensure the proper maintenance of all powder producing and filling equipment, evaporator and dryer, associated equipment, ammonia refrigeration system and associated equipment, steam boilers. -Perform related duties as required. -Adhere to all SOP's and HACCP guidelines. -Adhere to all GMP, quality, and safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.Experience: -3 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience. -General knowledge food manufacturing processes. -Basic computer skills.Education/Certifications: -High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: -Requires ability to walk and stand for 12 or more hours at a time. -Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items often including items up to 55 lbs. -Requires ability to push and pull items frequently including items 150 lbs. -Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights including floors of 100 ft or more. -Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings. -Requires ability to hear and speak and frequently hear and speak in very noisy environments. -Requires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditions. -Requires ability to work in confined spaces frequently. -Requires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals. -Requires ability to walk facility of 13 acres multiple times for each shift.Apply today to EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
