Senior Customer Marketing ManagerJob Description:Vertica is the Unified Analytics Warehouse trusted by thousands of data-driven organizations - from AT&T to Cerner to Uber to The Trade Desk to MassMutual to many more. We are expanding the marketing team to generate more awareness and meet the growing demand for Vertica.The Senior Customer Marketing Manager will engage with Vertica customers to build visibility in the market and support relationship selling efforts with the global sales, channel, and alliances teams. The successful applicant will be a detail-oriented, customer-first self-started, determined to promote every single customer accomplishment using Vertica. Responsibilities:

  • Update, manage, and maintain the customer reference database and track engagement so as not to overtax our customers
  • Work closely with account managers to expand references into new industries and beyond the existing accounts
  • Develop customer success stories that feature measurable ROI and TCO benefits
  • Support a heavy volume of customer-related requests from marketing and sales in supporting deals, Webcasts, industry tradeshows, industry awards, and more opportunities
  • Work with other cross-functional teams to ensure full access to all customer details
  • Formalize the customer reference program and seek additional ways to spotlight customer accomplishments
  • Assist with regularly scheduled customer advisory boards, as needed
  • Partner with AR and PR on peer reviews, analyst briefings, media and press releases
Education and Experience Required:
  • 10 years of customer marketing experience with a focus on machine learning and analytics, ideally
  • Experience with developing customer case studies and related materials that lead with measurable benefits
  • Self-starter taking initiative while simultaneously adapting to sudden changes and work with minimal supervision
  • Customer-first mentality with a passion for researching best practices in customer marketing
  • Results-oriented, customer-driven, organized with attention to detail
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of customer marketing best practices
  • Knowledge of customer marketing fundamentals
  • Proven marketing experience gained by working closely with product marketing, marketing programs, corporate marketing, and sales
