Location: Tempe, AZ Description: Our client is currently seeking a IBM MQ Administrator - Sr.For immediate consideration please forward a resume to Kevin Gorence at This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for IBM MQ on all platforms (Windows, Linux, Appliances, Mainframe)
- Evaluation, implementation, and certification of MQ software and related program products
- Interface with other technology support organizations
- Perform MQ problem determination
- Stay up to date and implement MQ Best Practices
- Act as lead technical resource for business integration efforts
- Deliver innovative solutions to complex problems and business cases
- Perform key role in a major messaging consolidation effort
- Execute on security efforts in the messaging area
- A BA/BS degree and/or 8+ years of experience working in a large IBM MQ environment
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Eagerness to learn and support new technologies
- Strong problem determination and resolution skills as well as problem- and change-management disciplines
- Experience with RCA and solution design for complex messaging problems
- Nice to have: Experience with z/OS mainframe environment
- Nice to have: Development background in Cobol, C#, or Java
