NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Project Manager/Scrum Master who can add significant value to a team of motivated, self-directed individuals for the planning and production support of Project Management Office (PMO) functions. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, operate with a sense of urgency and be highly detail oriented.
Roles and Responsibilites:- Work as an integral part of the Program Management Office (PMO) team to develop operational policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines based on best practices and compliance requirements.
- Participate in Risk Management, evaluating risk levels and implications.
- Participate in Configuration Management practices and procedures
- Support division resource management efforts as a part of the PMO
- Execute/Coach Agile Scrum ceremonies/practices for multiple projects. Ie. Scrum Master, Backlog development, sprint planning standups etc…
- Support and execute all applicable phases of project lifecycle (e.g. planning, initiation, execution, close-out)
- Coordinate and track the execution of project activities across team members and facilitate meetings, phone conferences, and establishment of working groups as needed
- Assigns task responsibilities to project team members
- Manages internal and external client expectations
- Identifies, assesses and minimizes project risks to successful project completion
- Analyzes and documents current processes and workflow
- Agile Scrum
- One or more of the following Certifications (or commensurate): PMP, PMI-RMP, ITIL- MoR
- Six (6) years of direct work experience with IT design and/or management required
- Secret clearance or higher preferred
- 8570 compliance (Active Security and OS certifications)
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-functional team environment (team player)
- Ability to collaborate with awareness and responsiveness to customer needs
- Commitment to continuous development and improvement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- A strong sense of urgency including self-governance on task priority
- Degree in IT management, business administration, economics, finance, or a related field
- Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) a plus.

- Must meet the requirements to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, as well as all required security certifications and trainings
- Travel as required
