Summary:Provides advanced professional input to complex Application Development assignments/projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve highly complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Highly skilled. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities. This position may perform systems analysis functions. Supports and provides direction to more junior professionals. Works autonomously, only requiring “expert” level technical support from others. Exercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures. Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within Application Development.Responsibilities:Creation of applications that support our in-house business partners through automation of manual business processes

Primarily responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and maintaining solutions for the team

Contribute to development and support of development and drive work to completion of on-time commitments

Work closely with the testing and requirement gathering processes and people to ensure a feedback/quality loop is in place with open collaboration

Work directly with business areas to define business requirements and translate those requirements into conceptual and logical data models, and user-interfaces

Research and evaluate alternative solutions; recommends and develops the most efficient and cost effective technical solutions

Define, understand and recommend changes to the existing software and application environment in tandem with the current business needs and direction

Interact with various matrix partners and team members to ensure applications are fulfilling user requirements, are efficiently designed & are easy to support and maintain

Perform root cause analysis for issues and provide effective and timely resolution

Apply technical processes to solve complex problems.

This person will also be responsible for small to medium system enhancements and / or large scale strategic initiatives as needed

Support and maintenance of technical solutions

Work with leadership to determine priorities and releases

Coordinate release schedule and communicate progress and completion of work

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR related field; OR equivalent work experience

3-5 years of development experience using Visual Studio and at least one of the .Net Coding languages (VB .Net, C# , F# )

Preferred Qualifications:Experience in developing automations using windows API libraries and .Net UI Automation

Experience using Team Foundation Server for code repository

Experience using SQL Server and T-SQL

Ability to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results

Strong written and oral communication skills

Commitment to improvement of customer experience

Ability to balance between meeting business needs & cost effectiveness

Collaborative with strong negotiation skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

A solid understanding of project management lifecycle methodology

Experience in translating technical requirements into source code

Good facilitation/meeting management skills

Ability to make progress in the face of uncertainty or opposition

Flexible, ability to work in a fast paced often changing environment
