Position Title: Sr. Embedded Engineer

Location: Bedford, MA

Duration: Full Time

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for design and development of real time embedded software/firmware and PC/mobile based software application.
  • To Analyse domain specific technical or low-level requirement and modification as per end customer or system requirement.
  • Participate in high level requirements analysis, High level and low-level software design.
  • Perform software testing including unit, functional and system level requirement including manual and automated.
  • Performs code review following coding guidelines and static code analysis.
  • Troubleshoots software problems of limited difficulty.
  • Documenting technical deliverable like software specifications, design document, code commenting, test cases and test report, Release note etc. throughout the project life cycle.
  • Follow defined process for software Development life cycle.
  • Develops software solutions from established programming languages or by learning new language required for specific project.
  • Develop new approaches to complex design problems.
  • Responsible for mentoring and training juniors as per the project requirement.

Qualification:
  • Experience in software development C and C for IOT connected devices on Linux based platforms.
  • Design and Development of Network Manager WIFI station and Access Point) framework for Linux based smart home cleaning devices.
  • Design and Development of various Bluetooth profiles for multiple platforms.
  • Expertise in Open-Source component such as Wpa Supplicant, BlueZ.
  • Experience in various Bluetooth profiles such as GAP, SPP, OPP, FTP, PBAP, A2DP, AVRCP, HFP.
  • Good to have knowledge of Linux device drivers, Linux Kernel Programming, Linux Kernel Internals, Yocto / Build root, or any other build systems.
  • Good to understand hardware schematic, datasheet of hardware component to derive firmware/software specific solution.
  • Experience in WIFI standards IEEE 802.11.
  • Experience with creating software automation tests in Python.
  • Experience of working with tools such as Git, SVN, Jira.
  • Experience working in a flexible agile scrum development.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
