DESCRIPTIONOur client in the Atlanta area is looking for a strong Network Engineer to join their ATL-based team. This individual will join a team of 6 sitting in ATL and an additional 6 sitting in LA to provide face to face, telephone and email support to their clients across an entire range of services and solutions. You will be in charge of installation and ongoing equipment maintenance including wireless access points, switches & firewalls for one of the leading film production studios in the Greater Atlanta Area.

Role Expectations:
  • Troubleshoot equipment and service issues remotely and on-site for on and off-lot Production Services clients
  • Create, log, and track tickets within the ticketing system both ConnectWise and Salesforce
  • Configures and installs networking equipment to include access points, switches, firewalls, and various other networking equipment.
  • Configures and installs PBX servers, phones, and various other telephony equipment.
  • Installs and tests a variety of telecommunications network cabling infrastructure using appropriate industry standard, including hybrid, fiber optic, copper, UTP, coaxial cable, cable terminal blocks, patch panels, data jacks, MDFs and IDFs
  • Documents configuration procedures, installation procedures, and network diagrams.
  • Assist clients with technical questions and concerns
  • Must be able to work, move, or carry objects or materials such as phone and networking equipment up to 75 pounds in weight and work on a variety of ladder heights.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work assigned hours on a regularly scheduled tour.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (voluntary or assigned) and to be available for call-outs, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Skills Required:
  • 3-years industry experience with a track record of success.
  • Proficient understanding and experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
  • Experience with troubleshooting WAN, LAN and internet outages
  • Experience with networking devices and the concepts they exemplify such as Juniper, Brocade, HP, Dell, Cisco, MRV, Palo Alto, Xirrus, Ubiquiti
  • Proficient understanding and experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting access points, switches, and firewalls
  • Proficient understanding and experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PBX servers, SIP trunking, VOIP phones, and call routing.
  • Proficient understanding and experience with network cabling to include fiber optic and copper installation, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Experience utilizing the ticketing system
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
  • Communicate with people from a technical and non-technical background.
  • Work under pressure and to tight deadlines and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
