System Engineer I

Systems Engineer ILarge, international medical device company is expanding their team and adding a Systems Engineer. This position will work remotely to start until all staff returns to our facility in Tucson. Experience with experimental design, conducting the experiments and doing data analysis, some process/sensor debugging, making conclusions and recommendations with be your key responsibilities. Knowledge of basic software languages (no programming or coding needed), engineering and fluid dynamics principles, and the desire and curiosity to improve current products is what we are looking for! Position Summary Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices and implementation in complex systems and assignments. General responsibilities include participating in design reviews, develop tests to assess performance against design specification, and assessment of system interactions. Makes independent decisions. Assist in the development of new products for commercialization, system Verification and Validation test design, and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible design solutions within a cross functional development team. Development teams utilize AGILE development methodology.ResponsibilitiesWrites, executes, and documents system Verification and Validation test protocols.Participates in technical cross functional development team activities.Consistently uses company concepts, policies and procedures, familiar with and follows standard practices.Receives general direction from team, managers or project lead but will exercises considerable discretion in day to day work details.Participates in efforts to define product functions or processes and identify technical challenges.Makes suggestions to improve work processes.Plans and executes assigned projects; utilizes thorough technical and theoretical understanding of product functionality.Analyzes data, evaluates results and forms conclusions for presentation and/or documentation.Applies functional expertise routinely on the job.Provides technical direction and shares knowledge and expertise with others.Participates in project planning, process updates and to system Verification and Validation test design.Prepares and delivers presentations of project results to own or other groups.Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.Integrates verification and validation planning with project and program planning.Uses company practices for V&V and tests at an expert levelQUALIFICATIONS BS degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline with 4 years of related experience required MS degree in a directly related discipline with 2 years of related experience required PhD degree in a directly related discipline without related industry experience needed.
