Job Summary Working as a member of the Field Management Department, this position will be the primary liaison between the Compliance Department and Field Management. This individual will direct, manage review and oversee field force compliance with company policies and programs, ensuring that the best sales practices are employed by the field. This individual will work in conjunction with the senior Field Management team and Compliance personnel to: monitor and investigate the results of compliance auditing programs and implement and coordinate necessary compliance training and remediation as a result of those findings.Must have Life insurance/Annuity product knowledge - 7+ Compliance experience in a life insurance organization

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops compliance rules and guidelines
  • Investigate the results of auditing programs that track data on surrenders, lapses and values cases to promote sound business practices in the field
  • Work with the Corporate Compliance team to develop, update and implement compliance programs and initiatives that govern the field force
  • Perform preliminary compliance review of marketing collateral based on standards and procedures developed by Compliance. Escalate major issues and/or complex questions to Compliance as needed. Use marketing collateral and resultant compliance issues to help train field management and the field force on best practices.
  • Train or provide appropriate training for employees; coaches, provides feedback, counsels and motivates employees
  • Assist in the preparation of various regulatory filings
  • Develop sales practice monitoring strategies that will facilitate communication with field leaders and seek resolution to audit findings
  • Provide Field Management and the Compliance Department with monthly reports on audit findings and resolutions
  • Act as a point of contact for compliance issues identified in the field and refer/escalate complex issues and occurrences of fraud to Senior Field Management and Compliance personnel.
  • Monitor compliance program effectiveness based on established norms. Work with appropriate departments to establish improvements to programs on an as needed basis
  • Work with field management training team in consultation with Compliance Department to develop virtual and live compliance training
  • Monitor and update list of compliance approved vendors used by the field force
  • Communicate to the field force any issuance department regulation updates from states or provinces

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • External insurance knowledge
  • Working knowledge of industry laws and regulations
  • Sales practices knowledge
  • Understanding of insurance business and compliance principles
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills to engage with members of the field force and to be able to follow up on compliance related issues.
  • MS Office

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education

Licensing/Certification: Industry certifications are a plus
