Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Monitoring Engineer)Direct client: DavitaLocation: Denver, CO (Remote due to covid, work MST hours)Duration: 6+ monthsMinimum qualifications: Google Cloud Platform monitoring, Terraform, Devops, Scripting & Zabbix (preferred)
DutiesDevelop Google Cloud Platform Cloud Monitoring policies as code (in Terraform)Integrate Google Cloud Platform monitoring alerts into IT Alerting/Notification toolDevelop monitors in ZabbixInstrument Dynatrace OneAgent on critical applicationsExchange knowledge with other monitoring staffSkills5+ years of experience requiredWorking knowledge of enterprise systems monitoringProficiency in cloud technologies such (AWS/ Azure/ Google Cloud Platform). Google Cloud Platform preferred.Proficiency in TerraformProficiency in 1 or more additional programming and/or scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, C#, Java Script, C/C or Java.Knowledge of DevOps Stack (Gitlab, Puppet, Jenkins, Prometheus, Sensu etc)Working knowledge of APIs and Web ServicesBasic familiarity with ITIL processes, specifically Incident Management, Change Management and ProblemWorking knowledge of ticketing systems such as Service-NowWork independently and as a technical team memberGood organizational skills and the ability to document and communicate complex conceptsGood verbal and written communication skillsPreference for candidates with knowledge and experience with the following:Solid understanding of networking elements, concepts and protocols including Firewalls, Routers, Load Balancers, Switches, VLANs, TCP, SNMP and so on.Network monitoring, NNMi strongly preferredExperience with application performance monitoring tools, Dynatrace strongly preferredExperience developing monitoring solutions with enterprise systems monitoring tools, Zabbix strongly preferredProficiency with Client Operations Orchestrator (HPOO) or other automation/orchestration toolsExperience with IT Alerting systems, preferably PagerDuty.Vacancy expired!
