FinanceThe Finance team is responsible for all aspects of the corporate finance organization, including strategy, implementation, enterprise risk management and internal audit, treasury, tax, procurement and investor relations. These functional areas enable corporate profitability and success by ensuring cost savings and efficiencies, sound reporting of results and accurate forecasts.

ResponsibilitiesPerspecta is hiring for a Junior Financial Contract Analyst position in our Basking Ridge, NJ office. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Apply principals of accounting to analyze contract/project financial performance against budgets.
  • Work closely with senior finance staff and Program Managers (PM) to prepare financial forecasts and EAC documents.
  • Assist with preparing invoices and forecsts for the LTS contract.
  • Report financial trends/risks to Program Managers and Management.
  • Reconcile accounts and provide explains when needed, assist with subcontractor accruals, prepare journal entries, prepare monthly billing, analyze receivables and perform collections, maintain financial systems, create ad hoc reports, and complete other miscellaneous financial requests as needed.
  • Some light overtime may be required.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance plus 2 to4 years of job related experience or a Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance plus 0 to 2 years of job related experience or a High School Diploma plus 8 to 10 years of job related experience is required

  • Journal entry experience and Reconciliation experience are required
  • Strong proficiency with Excel is required
  • Understanding of contract accounting is preferred
  • Government contracting industry experience is preferred
  • Costpoint experience is preferred
