- Design, execute, implement, analyze, maintain and test new and/or modified test models, scenarios, cases, scripts, and test activity support applications, processes, and tools.
- Develop and implement structured testing concepts, methodologies and automated testing tools.
- Interface with IT Quality Assurance / Test Associates, Programmers, Project Leads, Managers, Business Analysts for necessary clarification of current operating procedures and clarify test objectives.
- Requires knowledge of relevant application areas and software quality assurance techniques.
- Define and maintain test system configurations, perform test executions and write test scripts for complex integrated systems.
- Participate in documenting test strategies.
- Oversee the testing efforts of the test team, reporting the status of the project.
- Maintain test statistics on the status of the testing process.
- Report on issues, defects, and results as required.
- 1-2 years of technical experience in Software Quality Assurance & applications systems testing.
- 3 years in test model design and execution.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of testing tools and methodology.
- Proficiency in operating system and system utilities.
- Extensive knowledge of IT concepts and software development life cycles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exposure to SDLC best practices, database structures, change management, release management.
- Testing and QA skills in an environment with mixed technologies such as AS400, Mainframe, Oracle, DB2, Unix, etc.
- System Testing Tools, Defect Management, Test Requirements Engineering.
- Managed HealthCare systems a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
