Accountant

SUMMARY

Responsible and accountable for the following area:

Accountant for I Kitagawa & Co. and Affiliates, Parts Center Hawaii, and Others if assigned (hereinafter call Companies)

Responsible to provide monthly financial reports of the Companies on a timely basis

Responsible for the preparation of the annual audit and tax preparation for the Companies in collaboration with Auditors

Comply with all governmental compliance issues on accounting, tax, and audit

Maintain a high level of professionalism with manufacturers, suppliers, financial institutions, vendors and affiliates

Duties include but not limited to:

Prepares monthly financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for the Companies

Assures that the Companies financial reports will be done timely and accurately

Interprets the financial reports and daily operating information

Maintains an effective cash management system that forecasts the sources and uses of funds

Reviews and assures that the Companies general ledger and scheduled accounts are reconciled and accurate and report any discrepancies that may exist

Complies with all applicable governmental accounting or tax regulations.

Assists the CFO and outside CPA with the annual review of the Companies to ensure accurate and timely completion of the year-end financial documentation, annual reports and tax returns

Support budgeting and forecasting processes

Coordinate annual physical parts inventory for the Companies

Perform other duties that may be assigned

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 3.0 or greater grade point average from an accredited college or university

Knowledge of GAAP

Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Excel

Attention to detail
