Building Services OperatorUSA - NY - RochesterFull TimeKodak is Hiring!We are looking for Building Services Operator/Cleaner to support our Operations in Rochester, NY.The Kodak Rochester Facilities (KRF) group is responsible for the management of buildings and site services, contract and supplier management, fire department, inspections and risk management, and several supporting operational services, and supports Eastman Business Park growth and strategic initiatives.The Building Services Operator/Cleaner position supports the Eastman Kodak Company and its tenants with the cleaning and housekeeping of offices, labs, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms and common areas.The individual in this job performs a variety of activities designed to service maintain and execute building and site related activities. This cleaner works under the direction of a Team Leader and Supervision to clean/maintain defined areas in multiple buildings around Kodak Rochester. This position performs a variety of cleaning and housekeeping activities in different industrial and office settings.JOB DUTIESCleaning hallways, stairwells, restrooms, lobbies, break rooms, offices, labs, and manufacturing areas.Candidate will be responsible for maintaining a defined route to empty trash, clean and stock restrooms, vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floor surfaces, clean glass and dust ledges.Cleaner will be responsible for responding to special cleaning requests as directed by the team leader and for backfilling for team members as require by vacation or absence.Assist in high level housekeeping tasks in designated areas. That may include hospitality areas, dining room, theater, and conference centers requiring you to;Replenishing consumables as and when required in restroomsAttend to urgent cleaning requests as and when necessaryPerform duties to a very high standard to meet expectations at a prestigious, world class venue.Work flexibly, responding to requests from managers, clients and colleagues in a timely manner, while ensuring all standard and procedures are maintained Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of the standard practices, materials, chemicals and equipment used in the general cleaning and housekeeping.Knowledge of safe work practices and personal limitationsExperience using cleaning machinery is useful but not necessary for the right candidateAble to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings and weekends. Personal attributesExcellent customer service skills, daily interface with both internal Kodak and external tenant needs.Understands concepts of lean manufacturing to drive improvement in day-to-day work. Embracing change to benefit the company and their team's success.Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in interactions with building occupants, contractors and team members.Experienced with safe work practices/requirements and ensuring compliance.Good communication skills for communicating within team and with internal and external tenants.Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive, can do attitude.
