Racker/Packer or Parts Control Agent (will train) Counting, Racking, Inspecting, Packing Metal Parts - FT - 4 day work weeks. Reviews in 60 days and 6 months, could increase wages to $1/hour more within 6 months (based on performance). Regular attendance is crucial, we need to be able to rely on you!

This trade is not taught in schools. We take the time to train enthusiastic employees and get them on a career track. If college is not your thing, consider the metal finishing trade.

Avtec Finishing, provides quality metal finishing to our customers, in a timely manner. We are busy and need to find an enthusiastic recruit that takes an interest in managing the parts provided by our customers with a sense of urgency and an eye on quality. This is a critical and hands on position. It's a unique industry with many opportunities. Schools don't teach this trade, so we train and reward hard working employees.

Position Duties: Be responsible for counting, racking, prepare for finishing, inspecting quality, and packing parts to ship back to the customer. Hand dexterity, basic math, as well as measuring parts for first time processing are key components to this position. Complete paperwork along the way to assure the process is completed correctly and in a timely manner. (Entry Level Position - Will Train)

RequirementsMinimum qualifications:

Show up EVERY day. (Attendance is CRUCIAL!)

Pass Basic math and finding measurements on a ruler test (IMPORTANT!)

Can work independently and as a team in a diverse environment.

Willing to take direction, follow procedures, and learn.

Ability to stand, reach, bend, and have hand dexterity for long periods of time.

Follow safety procedures to avoid injuries.

Can fluently speak, understand, read, and write English.

Must pass drug test, background check (no felonies in the past 5 years ), and simple math questionnaire before starting.

While onsite for an interview, you MUST PASS A BASIC MATH TEST within 10 minutes to move on to the interview phase.

1st Shift Hours: 5 am - 3 pm Monday-Thursday Overtime as scheduled paid lunch break.

2nd Shift Hours: 3 pm - 1 am Monday-Thursday Overtime as scheduled paid lunch break.

Job Type: Full-time

Wage Range: $15.50-$16.50/hour - based on work experience. Reviews at 60 days and 6 months and twice a year after that. If you meet expectations, a rate increase is usually provided at that time.
