Closing Portfolio Specialist

Job Description

• Oversee fulfillment of mortgage loans submitted to the closing department
• Work directly with both internal and external customers to provide excellent customer service and meet all closing steps and process requirements
• Maintain a pipeline of 30-40 loan files per month
• Appropriately resolve issues and understand when it is necessary to escalate to senior management
• Review Title Searches and identify errors
• Review HUD Settlement statements and identify errors
• Last person to look at closing documents before they go to Closing Attorney

Qualifications

• The ability to spot errors on a Title search
• The precision required to spot errors on HUD Settlement statement
• Strong multi-tasking and attention-to-detail skills
• Prior experience with hands-on residential mortgage loan closing
• Current with residential mortgage closing regulations such as SAFE Act, TRID, Investor guidelines, etc.
