Small ad agency in Newburyport is looking for a “needle in a haystack!”

Actually, it’s more like the “perfect” part-time person to handle our office and bookkeeping functions. Is that you?

Because we are small, you will indeed be a big fish! The ideal candidate—this needle in a haystack person—has what it takes to flawlessly manage our office and our books.

Here are some specifics:

Office Admin duties:

Organizing client jobs new and closed

Assisting in brainstorming (really fun!)

HR functions like “new hire” packages, employee handbook, payroll, onboarding, etc.

Assist with New Business Development—research and database management

Misc. office management

Bookkeeping duties:

Calling in payroll to our payroll company (every other Tuesday)

Using QuickBooks Online daily, enter all new bills, flag important dates and auto pays

Reporting and providing Executive Summary of all reports, Balance Sheet, P&L, AP & AR in person with company president once a week

Filling out applications, PPP, various audits

Find answers to various executive questions from time to time, i.e.: “When does this insurance expire?”

As needed:

Credit card reconciliations

Loan tracking & reconciliations

Bank account reconciliations

Sales/Meals tax tracking

Job profitability tracking

Year-end Tax prep for accountant

1099 preparation

Collaboration with CPA

Insurance audit assistance

Office systems (including opening jobs) & organization

The good news is that if you know how to do all this stuff and have for years, this will be a “piece of cake”! Bring your sense of humor, your over-the-top, mad organizational skills, and willingness to learn and you could be in for a really fun part-time job with growth opportunities.
