Senior Cost Accountant

Our client, an manufacturing firm in Bergen County, is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to add to their growing team. This position is newly created due to growth and will give this Senior Cost Accountant the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the team.

Salary/Rate:

$90,000 - $110,000

Position Overview:

This Senior Cost Accountant position will focus heavily on cost analysis, account analysis, and monthly reporting. The ideal fit for the Senior Cost Accountant position is an independent worker that leads by example and can collaborate well with their colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Budgeting/Forecasting/Planning

Month end close and account analysis

Accurate classify costs

Update files with actuals by month

Journal entries, payroll accrual entries, month end accruals

Prepare monthly account analysis

Analyze variances

Monthly reporting/processes

Analyze actual/forecast variance

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of direct cost accounting experience

Strong Excel Skills (v-lookups, pivot tables)

Strong presentation and comprehension skills

Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

MBA a plus

CPA certification a plus
