Our team supports the development of safe, robust, and innovative software platforms and applications for automated driving. The controls integration engineer (CIE) will be working hands-on to triage issues and support testing, development, and manufacturing of AV products. The applicant must have an eagerness to learn about embedded systems, serial data communication, as well as new programming languages & toolsets. They will be an excellent problem solver, motivated by challenges, and willing to quickly pivot based on new learnings.Key Responsibilities:Support the controls integration of automated driving platforms and applications.

Execute the Controls Development Plan (CDP) with the guidance of the Advanced Controls Manager and Lead CIE

Become an expert in vehicle controls systems for automated driving platforms and applications

Quickly triage and address software integration issues

Support vehicle build events, program milestones, and other special initiatives

Conduct testing and data analysis for automated driving features & performance

Verify and update vehicle software to an approved software configurations for test, validation, and issue resolution

Additional Job DescriptionRequired Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related Bachelor of Science degree

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Controls Development, Vehicle Integration, Calibration or Validation

Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and solve complex problems

Ability to communicate well cross-functionally

Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish tasks under minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Autonomous Vehicle Control, Active Safety, Electrification, etc.

Experience with embedded software programing languages (Python, C, C, etc.)

Familiar with the Global Vehicle Development Process

Proficient with agile software development process
