Business Developer - Physical Security & Infrastructure

Role DescriptionThis position is part of the Business Development Team focused on the Commercial market, specifically for Infrastructure as it relates to physical security solutions, structured cabling, and fiber infrastructure. Our growing Business Development Team is looking for someone who will actively prospect and develop opportunities in the Maryland and Northern Virginia markets. This role includes performing site surveys, quote generation and developing a thorough understanding of Skyline’s infrastructure service offerings. Core Responsibilities:

• Physical Security & Infrastructure Sales
  • Develop new sales opportunities
  • Develop prime/sub-contracting opportunities
  • Develop manufacturer relationships for A&E support
  • Support marketing development for new and existing products
  • Proposal generation / follow-up
  • Maintain solutions expertise and consult on sales / marketing documentation

• Account Management
  • Maintain accounts obtained from outside sales efforts
  • Support existing customer base

• Project Management Oversight
  • Weekly/Bi-weekly/Monthly Status Meetings
  • Coordinate with Project Management
  • Deliverable Preparation
  • Material Discussions

• Internal Task Management and Support
  • Participate in Corporate Development Activities
  • Attend internal meetings
  • Professional Development

• 5+ years of experience selling Physical Security solutions (Video Management and Access Control systems) and Structured Cabling / Outside Plant solutions is preferred
  • Experience implementing the above solutions is preferred
• 5+ years of experience selling larger deals in the Commercial space, over $1 million in annual revenue for individual customers is preferred
• Existing customer and vendor relationships that can be leveraged to accelerate sales is preferred. Experience with Genetec, Milestone, Access, Hanwha, Galaxy, and Feenics is preferred.
