If you answered “Yes” then an Inside Sales role with NIC’s sales team is right for you!NIC is hiring several Inside Sales Associates to directly support our sales efforts by qualifying prospects and helping to initiate new relationships to drive new business. You will have responsibility for engaging and selling digital software solutions into state government agencies and departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop key relationships and advance opportunities forward in alignment with the NIC sales methodology
  • Establish direct relationships with key executive-level government agency partners, associations, and trade organizations in order to drive awareness of company’s products and services.
  • Provide weekly updates on all account activity, marketing campaign, pipeline opportunities, revenue generating goals and projections.
  • Provide regular two-way communication between the assigned partner(s), internal project teams
  • Thoroughly understand the company services and product offering and being able to effectively communicates the benefits of each product or service offerings to our partners and potential partners.
  • Monitor national, local and industry-specific media for information and intelligence to drive new sales
  • Maintain high level of understanding of current government trends, issues and technologies, including those of NIC partner states
  • Participate in and coordinate attendance at training's, trade shows, conferences, and conventions
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
  • Limited travel to client sites and trade shows (40%)
  • Telework potential
  • No relocation assistance provided

Highly Desired:
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in selling in B2B environment
  • Familiarity with State or Local government is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Office and Outlook, HubSpot CRM
  • Engaging phone and email communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
