Role: This will be the LEAD/SME role for an exclusive Consulting Services engagement onsite at our client, supporting an Agile Transformation and scaling Agile through multiple phases of work.This role will work with our client to address and overcome maturity gaps, to ensure our agile scaling efforts remain successful. This consultant will also be expected to work with senior level business and technology teams to build a sustainable road map to scale, improve the planning and execution model within the organizational standards. Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains stakeholder relationships supporting Agile product development
  • Supports Agile Programs and Agile Release Trains (ARTs), by fostering collaboration and the use of best practices
  • Identifies and acts on opportunities for continuous operational and team improvement
  • Embraces servant leadership and displays behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with being Agile
  • Keeps informed and educated about industry trends concerning Agile methodologies
  • Works with the organization to help launch and coach scaling efforts and Agile programs
  • Perform detailed assessment of the current processes, tools, roles and responsibilities and environments that are targeted for use during development.
  • Provide recommendations based on the detailed assessment for custom agile methodology/framework.
  • Assist client with the documenting and implementation of agreed upon recommendations.
  • Work with client resources to serve as a consultant to align process recommendation to client's methodology
  • Conducts and manages Agile maturity assessments to help teams develop and grow in their Agile journeys
  • Other Work Products include developing and maintaining: Stakeholder Interview List Interview Questionnaire, Interview Summary Memos, Gap Analysis Document, Team-Level Survey Results, Objectives and Guiding Principles Document, Issues, Concerns and Risks, Document, Custom agile framework recommendation, Development / process tool recommendation, Tool set-up / configuration recommendation, Environment recommendation, Summary Report with recommended best practices, Governance Recommendation, Road Map/High Level Work Plan
Training Curriculum Development and Training Execution Phases
  • Support and oversite of the development of training material based on process assessment
  • Assist our Apex Training Curriculum Developer/Coach with developing for our client a training workshop schedule that encompasses all commercial business and IT resources
  • Support and assist in developing an embedded support plan for all impacted sites including Charlotte NC and India based teams.
  • Develop schedule that will outline embedded resource (Team Level Coaches) roll-off after a period
  • Assists in the creation and delivery of Agile training for business and Agile team members (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Scrum Teams, Stakeholders, and Agile Coach candidates for the Apex Agile Training)
Team Coaching phase-continue to serve as the SME to support embedded team coaching model and eventual "train the trainer" roll off Candidate Requirements: This job is best suited for someone with a deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) with their SPC, and a passion for mentoring others. Communication, problem solving, interpersonal, mediation, and relentless improvement skills and mindset are a must as this position will be asked to facilitate a variety of topics during coaching events and meetings.
  • 5+ Years coaching distributed teams at scale
    • Portfolio OR Enterprise levels
  • Experience with leading an Assessment of similar size/scale as a Lead Agile SME/Transformation Lead
  • Deep practical experience with Scaled Agile and Agile Methodologies including Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to guide others through the transition from a traditional delivery mindset to a Lean-Agile mindset
  • SAFe certification (SPC4)
Desired Skills:
  • Financial services experience
  • Experience developing custom Agile Training materials, or leading a team where this was done
