Finance Specialist Job Description SummaryThe Investment Operations team is currently recruiting for two (2) Reconciliation Analysts in a contractor role. Investment Operations is a critical component to the client's Investment Management (IM) function. IM manages the asset allocation and asset liability management for client's (USD)150 billion General Investment Account ("GIA ).As a member of the Investment Operation team, the Investment Management reconciliation analyst will work with our Derivatives, Collateral and Securities Pricing team and Treasury team. The team is responsible for the investment pricing and the derivative middle office, including trade processing, cash settlements, collateral management, treasury and data management related to the 's General Investment Account.High Level Responsibilities:The Investment Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Reconciling cash, transactions, and positions, researching and resolving any differences in a timely manner including but not limited to activities related to daily, monthly-end and year-end accounting close and reporting.
  • Execute moderately complex to complex accounting functions, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations, preparation of financial results for internal and external purposes, and financial analysis.
  • Perform all assigned job duties in accordance with Company policies, procedures and standard practices.
  • Perform all other ad-hoc Investment Operations, Treasury and Accounting related duties, as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. Majors in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, analytical, proactive, highly detail-sensitive team player.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and propose innovative solutions.
  • Ability to maintain composure, exercise discretion, and make sound professional judgments in an environment with heavy workloads and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • The Investment Management Reconciliation Analyst should be highly motivated, enjoy working in a team environment and is interested in the investment management business.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills are also necessary along with the ability to learn quickly and pay close attention to detail.
  • The ideal candidate brings proficient computer capabilities and manages time effectively. Knowledge of Excel, MS Outlook and Word is beneficial.
