FinanceThe Finance team is responsible for all aspects of the corporate finance organization, including strategy, implementation, enterprise risk management and internal audit, treasury, tax, procurement and investor relations. These functional areas enable corporate profitability and success by ensuring cost savings and efficiencies, sound reporting of results and accurate forecasts.

ResponsibilitiesSenior Cost/Pricing StrategistThe Senior Cost/Pricing Strategist (SCPS) ensures that Perspecta submits a compelling financial proposition while also promoting a solution that can be delivered with a manageable risk profile. The SCPS is generally assigned to complex pursuits with total contract value (TCV) ranging from $5M to $1B+ and is a member of the pursuit core team. The SCPS may provide support in all, or some combination, of the following:Responsibilities:

Business
  • Leverages financial and accounting concepts as well as capital investment concepts in demonstrating business value of proposed solutions to customers
  • Creates solutions that creatively address customer value chain and business requirements
  • Persuasively communicates the value of the solution in terms of financial return and impact on customer business goals
  • Leads the Cost Review in conjunction with Lead Solution Architect (LSA) and Financial Costing Team
  • Supports final financial contract terms negotiations in conjunction with negotiation team
  • Assists in development of subcontractor/partner target rates in order to ensure cost competitiveness
  • Assists in handoff of financial assumptions to delivery teams upon contract award to ensure key strategies used in development of prices are clearly communicated to enhance successful delivery of services
  • Provide highly innovative solutions to solve complex problems
  • Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.

Industry
  • Extensive level of industry acumen; keeps current with trends and able to converse with client on issues and challenges
  • Solution selling
  • Demonstrates strong communications skills with technical and financial staff, managers, as well as C-level executives
  • Leverages strong understanding of the competition - both positioning strategy and technology - to create competitive advantage for Perspecta
  • Assists in ensuring that the RFP requirements, vendor proposed solution, and pricing are in alignment.
  • Assists in development of the business proposal, including a detailed articulation of the business proposition, key assumptions, and Basis of Estimate, which articulates how pricing was developed.

Technical/Solution
  • Provides help and direction with the solution strategy, costing, and pricing approach to correctly reflect the RFP requirements and objectives
  • Helps to ensure solutions are complete and competitive
  • Links IT solutions with business needs to create customer business value
  • Applies broad understanding of technical and business innovations & trends to solving customer business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work as the lead for components of large complex projects

Qualifications• University Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent years related experience• 7+ years' experience performing financial management in the areas of P&L management, pricing, price to win, or business strategy development is required• 3 years' experience developing business volume and/or price proposals for US Federal Government proposals, preferred• P&L responsibility a plus• Experience in delivery of IT services, a plus• US Federal Government Top Secret Clearance or higher, a plusFor Colorado Residents
