The Procurement / AP Manager is responsible to manage, direct and coordinate the activities and personnel of the procurement and accounts payable team, and is responsible for the overall development and implementation of purchasing strategies and work processes.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct the procurement and accounts payable team

Work cross-functionally within the company to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely processing of POs/invoices.

Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure advantageous terms.

Evaluate effectiveness of existing contracts and work with Legal and appropriate departments to improve contracts as appropriate.

Direct and participate in the review and preparation of annual 1099 filings.

Continually identify opportunities to drive improvement in the requisition, purchase order, invoice, and payment processes by leveraging systems and other resources.

Produce and analyze KPI’s, dashboards, and other analytics to measure and improve performance.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments and responsiveness to vendors.

Manage the employee expense reimbursement program.

Provide support for special projects, business initiatives and system upgrades, as needed.

Document business processes and AP accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

Maintain corporate card / user login access company-wide for certain vendors.

Work directly with CFO to perform various treasury functions, as necessary.

Assist and provide backup to department work activities and duties as needed.

Responsible for recruitment, selecting, training, development and evaluation of personnel as well as initiation of personnel records documentation.

Provide effective, consistent communications and facilitate our Open-Door Policy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or institution or equivalent experience with 6+ years of experience within Procurement or AP.

3+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.

Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, sound judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Evidence of strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a positive work environment.

Navigate and operate efficiently within a large ERP, such as Oracle Cloud.
