Payroll Specialist

Well established, locally owned company is seeking an experienced, dependable and dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our Corporate Team!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all payroll department operations

Process payroll for over 700 employees on a weekly basis

Manage workflow to ensure all payroll is processed accurately and timely

Research, analyze, and resolve issues

Remain in constant communication with teammates and management

Other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager

Qualifications:

3-4 years experience processing multi-state payroll.

Working knowledge of payroll best practices.

Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing & internal controls.

Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel .

Strong work ethic and team player.

High degree of professionalism.

Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.

Ability to communicate with various levels of management.

Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.

Great Plains knowledge is helpful but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
