Farm Animal Caregiver

Seeking an assistant to help care for approximately 200 chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and guinea fowl, as well as 7 goats, 5 pot bellies, and a ram on a 7 acre property in Cranberry Township. All the animals are friendly, treasured pets, either rescued or rehomed and are here to live out their lives in a peaceful, fun, safe, and healthy environment. This is by nature a pretty dirty job full of mud and bird poop, but it's amply rewarding knowing that you are helping to give an excellent quality of life to deserving birds, and both the animals and I will thank you for it.

Responsibilities include:

1) Cleaning coops/enclosures, including mucking and powerwashing

2) Filling, cleaning, and regularly disinfecting feeders, waterers, and dishes

3) Moving feed and bales throughout the property (with the assistance of a utility vehicle)

4) Collecting and sorting eggs (feel free to take some with you!)

5) Assisting with medical treatments

6) Cleaning and disinfecting carriers and crates

Must be comfortable and confident working around/handling chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and goats. Prior experience working with animals would be helpful but not necessary. Also, must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
