- Design and build enterprise-grade data solutions for a variety of external clients
- Design and code solutions to tough data challenges and provide feedback on others' work
- Work directly with client stakeholders to develop technical solutions for business cases
- Aggressively grow your skillset and expertise to meet the emerging needs of our clients
- Drive business decisions and press customers for requirements and to challenge current technology concepts
- Lead teams of developers and be familiar with standard project management processes (scrum, Kanban, etc.) including forecasting of effort and project financials
- Manage and mentor Data Engineers and Data Architects
- Participate in pre-sales activities - scoping and estimating projects, and authoring of SOWs and Change Orders
- 10+ years of hands-on experience working with data tools within the Microsoft data platform with an demonstrated understanding of most of the following technologies:
- SQL Server
- Analysis Services and DAX
- Reporting Services
- Integration Services
- 2+ years of experience in three or more of the following technologies:
- Self-Service BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
- Azure: Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse and Azure Data Factory
- Azure Big Data Technologies: Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Lake Analytics
- Big Data Technologies: Hadoop or HDInsight, Hive, Pig, Python, Spark, Oozie, or any of the other tools with the Hadoop ecosystem
- Predictive Analytics: R, Azure Machine Learning
- Scripting: PowerShell, Azure Automation
- Development Languages: .NET, Python,
- Experience designing, building, and evolving enterprise grade software
- Passion and experience managing and mentoring employees with a proven track record of growing talent from within an organization
- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear technical execution
- Skill at translating requirements into clean, efficient and quality code
- Proven ability to prioritize, self-direct and execute at velocity
- Passion to deliver craftsman-quality work both individually and as part of a team
- Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Desire to learn new skills and grow competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
