Our client is growing rapidly and is the technology arm of a healthcare company focused on improving care delivery for underserved populations through culturally sensitive programs. The product portfolio is centralized around technology, services and network designs intended to organize a better delivery system for cultures that have struggled with integrating into the traditional U.S. healthcare system. Our technology division delivers a navigation platform providing payers and providers a streamlined and centralized answer to operationalize preventative and transitional care – driving dramatic results for value-based performance and clinical outcomes. The Data Warehouse Architect is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence applications and processes. This position will maintain and update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, and/or methods as well as develop and enhance the data warehouse and corresponding ETL processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and maintain an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) architecture to ensure that the corporate data warehouse is accurate, scalable, performs efficiently and is available to the business as necessary with key focus on supporting reporting and dashboard needs for the value based care platform and Analytics
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using multiple technologies including Microsoft SSIS, Java and other applicable tools
  • Develop and maintain OLAP cubes and other data warehouse structures
  • Design, create and optimize complex queries for data extraction, transformation and load (ETL) processes
  • Identify, research and resolve technical problems
  • Work with Business Analysts and Functional Analysts in an iterative and agile methodology to deliver reports, dashboards and data
  • Develop, manage, schedule and document data operations and tasks, including extraction, movement, loading, archival, security, backup and aggregate table creation
  • Build complex data sets to meet business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements; automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, re-design infrastructure for optimal scalability
  • Collaborate with product, data and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and to support their data infrastructure needs
  • Work with data and analytics experts to achieve greater functionality in our data systems
  • Build and maintain processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management

Required Knowledge, Education & Experience:
  • Five (5) years extensive hands-on experience in architecting, designing, configuring and implementing Data Warehouse solutions for a large group or organization
  • Three (3) years experience with data warehouse architecture standards, process, and methodology, with good knowledge of data integration, data quality, multi-dimensional design and ETL tools
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience of SQL development/programming (preferred)
  • Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Proven record of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
  • Experience using the following software/tools:
    • Relational SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server)
    • NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, CouchBase)

Highly Preferred Skills, Abilities & Qualifications:
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
  • Prior experience with cloud services, data warehousing, and MarkLogic databases and XQuery
  • Prior experience using SSIS to build data integration and data transformation workflows
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate leadership ability and skills in critical thinking, strategic planning, analysis and systems thinking
  • Able to be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment; highly collaborative team approach to work
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Successful record of managing multiple projects with demonstrated ability to work independently in rapidly-changing environments
  • Able to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand; understand and interpret complex information from others
