Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesYour role is a key one in the organization. When done well, you will expand SSB brands through licensing partnerships to drive brand awareness, new customer acquisition and brand conversion while being the key liaison and day-to-day point of contact between licensing partners and internal stakeholders across a matrixed organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Brand Management

o Understands SSB's vision, corporate growth strategies, brand architecture, brand standards, positioning, design language, product lines, segmentation/merchadising strategies to roll out the brand vision and strateges and drive increased brand growth / equity in all assigned markets

o Works closely with senior brand leadership to identify strategies to grow the brands across product categories and geographies

o Voice of the brand / brand steward to domestic and international licensing partners including presenting the brand DNA and initiatives to partners

Business Development

o Identifies, develops and presents industry trends / dynamics, competitive research, threats and untapped expansion opportunities for markets, product categories and retailers to maximize royalties and brand value through both internal collaboration (Consumer and Market Insights Team) and external sources

o Leads the process of identifying, pitching, and selecting new licensees

o Explores how to maximize business with current licensees & drive these initiatives from start to finish

o Negotiates and drive approvals of licensing deal memos, amendments and renewals

o Increases brand impressions through collaborative marketing initiatives with licensees and internal stakeholders

o Creates compelling brand presentations and materials for top retailers

o Represents the brand at key customer meetings on an as-needed basis to promote the brands as it pertains to licensed goods categories

o Support SSB hospitality team efforts to grow global partnership

Licensing Management

o Sets and drives licensing strategy for area of responsibility and contributes to overall annual licensing planning process (includes identifying white space and blue ocean opportunities to strategically grow the business)

o Owns / manages relationships with domestic and international licensing partners (20-25) with the goal of meeting or exceeding predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives by communicating brand and product strategies to drive growth and brand consistency across all categories / geographies

o Acts as a brand licensing partner champion across the business

o Oversees day-to-day responsibilities of licensee management including forecasting, product and marketing approvals, royalty reporting, compliance and retail collaboration

o Leverages licensees financial reports and other data analytics to improve performance in market and build annual plans

o Collaborates with brand and marketing teams to create opportunities to leverage marketing assets with licensing partners

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the brand community, sales teams, channel marketing, cross functional teams, and agency partners to approve products, packaging, marketing collateral, campaigns, and other licensing project goals

o Draft deal memos, amendments, renewals through legal collaboration

o Collaborates with licensee to deliver compliance with contractual terms (including financial audits, quality process audits and so forth)

o Oversees review and approval of partner communications, marketing materials and assets to help bring in-line with brand graphic standards

o Attend related licensing partner trade show markets

o Supervises Associate Brand Licensing Manager

o Delivers annual Domestic and International Partner meetings

Functional/Technical Competencies

Licensing / Strategic Partnership Management: Ability to manage licensing partnerships, conduct business analysis and integrate industry insights to measure and improve the performance of licensed programs

Business Consulting Skills: Ability to identify opportunities and gaps and show a holistic understanding of the business and key insights needs to help us transform

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex information and implications both verbally, in interactions with senior leaders, and in written presentations, utilizing "storytelling techniques" to communicate a clear, compelling and cohesive story

Analytic Skills: Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, opportunities and gaps, and integrate across disparate data sources

Technical Familiarity: Ability to learn and effectively use information/business tools and platforms (i.e., CCV software platform, MS Office Suite, etc.) to obtain and analyze relevant information. Must be proficient in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint

Experience/EducationMBA required

8-10 years of work experience

Must have experience in these areas: licensing / partnership leadership, leading teams, retail / channel activation, product development in the international arena

Strong communication skills, written and oral

Fluent in English, preference for fluency in second language / bi-cultural background
