Security Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Security Analyst in San Diego, CA.Summary:The Security Analyst is a member of the Information Security team. The Security Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a wide variety of cutting-edge security tools and applications that support the Information Security program across the company. This is a technical hands-on position that requires someone who has at least 5+ years in information security and operations experience that will work closely with other highly technical members across multiple teams to continuously improve and enhance the technical information security program.Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the Security Analyst include but are not limited to: Hands-on implementation and management of security devices and applications to monitor and review network, servers, databases, and applications Provide operational support, triage and resolve service issues, and complete break/fix requests Develops and maintains documentation for the implementation of maintenance, security devices and applications Maintains knowledge of information security policies and goals and how they are enforced through technical tool sets Keeps current on the current IT threat landscape and upcoming trends in security Other duties that may be assignedREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience (5+ years) required CISSP or SANS GPPA certification preferred, or relevant information security experience 5+ years Information Security, IT System Administration, or Networking experience required Direct experience with security infrastructure administration Advanced Linux/Unix OS and Windows administration knowledge Administration experience with at least one of the following: Tanium, Netskope, Carbon Black, or McAfee ePO (VSE, HIPS) Experience troubleshooting host/OS, network, and security tools/services Knowledge of web services, APIs, and related protocols (HTTP, TLS/SSL) Experience operating cloud infrastructure and cloud security services Experience managing network and application layer firewall technologies Knowledge of current cybersecurity best practices for cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure Experience with scripting and automation technologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent independent problem-solving experience Excellent Troubleshooting abilities and experience Ability to manage parallel tasks and accurately document resolutionsDesired Experience: Experience with or current understanding of security policies and procedures Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) Experience with CDN and WAF technologies Scripting experience (e.g., PERL, Python, Go, shell scripting)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
