Job Title- Connect Direct, MFT L3 Engineer Location - Alpharetta, GA Duration - 12 months plus Start Date - ASAP Visa- s and those who are authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply This position will work REMOTE till COVID 19 situation settles down. The selected consultant is expected to be at Client Location in Alpharetta, GA once COVID settles down. This position is NOT EDI. MFT (Message Fil Transfer) Connect Direct and IBM Sterling expertise is must-have for this position. Our Client is looking for Connect Direct MFT L3 Engineer works directly with customers and members of consulting and support teams to deploy solutions that support our clients' business and technology needs. The Engineer collaborates closely with Project Managers; Solution Architects, and Junior Consultants to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our projects. The right candidate is a highly-motivated analytical thinker solver with strong soft skills and is capable of learning multiple technology disciplines and concepts. Responsibilities: Installation and configuration of multi-node architecture environments; including upgrades and platform migration IBM B2B Integrator / Sterling File Gateway maintenance and administration with business Process orchestration Build and deploy of custom Services; Adapters; and Protocols Data translation using IBM B2B Integrator maps (e.g.; XML format to Flat File) Analyze and implement optimal file transfer solutions based on business requirements. Create partner profile and channel configurations in File Gateway. Co-ordinate with internal and external partners during partner on-boarding process. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Research and recommend innovatively and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary. Maintain operationally; configuration; or other procedures. Perform ongoing performance tuning; hardware upgrades; and resource optimization as required. Follow established corporate Release and Change Management processes. Create custom business processes and channel templates to meet specific application file transfer needs. Other responsibilities may be assigned as seen fit by the leadership. Qualifications Should have a minimum of 8+ years' experience with IBM B2B Integrator / Sterling File Gateway; Symantec PP; Connect Direct suite special of products including: Server operating systems (Linux/Unix; Windows); Virtualized servers and hosted server architectures. Cloud (IBM/Amazon/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) based deployment architecture Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); including requirements gathering; solution design; building technical artifacts; system testing; deployment; and support. Industry-standard communication protocols (e.g.; AS2; SFTP; HTTP/S; FTP/S) Security standards (PGP/GPG; SSL certificates; SSH) Relationship database management systems (e.g.; MSSQL; Oracle; DB2) LDAP and integrated authentication System and port architecture Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards (e.g.; X12; EDIFACT) Managed File Transfer (MFT) Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Knowledge of the following subjects is preferred: Sterling File Gateway; Symantec PP; Connect Direct Sterling Secure Proxy Sterling External Authentication Server Control Center Transformation Extender/Advanced Java extensibility in IBM Sterling Integrator Web Services RESTful APIs Cloud virtual infrastructure sizing and performance tuning
