Kubernetes Platform Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in search of a Kubernetes Platform Engineer in Atlanta, GA.Summary:The client is trying to optimize and use Kubernetes at its fullest capacity. The client has built a new network environment to move code branches to for their code to be -pre- deployed to- consisting of Flagger and Kubernetes. They just moved over to Kubernetes, so this individual will be managing the clusters and they need help growing their abilities to use Kubernetes, specifically optimizing Flagger to route traffic to Canary prior to the application deployment to ensure the code is strong enough to handle the traffic. Then they are working on using Flux to automatically update the code on the Kubernetes cluster in case that cluster goes down, Flux has the code to re deploy the application more quickly and efficiently. Functionality they have today, extend it to automatically go to production in review environment and then ready to deploy - similar to concept, -GitHub flow- (very important to know and understand). Argo CD is similar to Flagger, so someone with that experience or WeaveWorks in general might work. Flux is the tool that manages their Kubernetes cluster deployments. It allows them to put code into Kubernetes clusters and monitors that code like -git ops- (important to understand).
