Business Development & SalesThe business development and sales team is responsible for implementing Perspecta's growth strategy to include development of a robust pipeline, price-to-win, competitive market research, proposal operations, and ID/IQ program management. These functions are critical to identifying new markets, sustaining the existing customer base, guiding the pursuit of strategic capture opportunities and proposal development.

ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development Executives within the Intelligence Group are viewed as thought leaders, assisting in developing strategies for growth and identifying new markets and opportunities.They have the resources of the company at their disposal to protect, expand and grow the business. They are responsible for managing complex pursuits from identification to proposal, leading matrixed teams throughout the capture process to ensuring opportunities are qualified and differentiated. Business Development Executives represent the company to vendors and teaming partners, making strategic assessments on capabilities and establishing risk/reward decisions for every opportunity. They support the development of individual opportunity win strategies, account plans, technology development plans, and partnering strategies.

ResponsibilitiesPerspecta is currently searching for a high-energy Business Development Executive to expand their existing business within the Westfields account. The person will be responsible for building the pipeline for organic growth by full life cycle business development activities, strategic planning, management of bid and proposal (B&P) resources, target identification, capture strategies, proposal management, contract award and customer relations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 18 years of full life-cycle business development experience
  • Track record of growth as a business development leader with specific customer intimacy with Westfields.
  • Specific knowledge of complex solutions to include systems engineering and integration, advanced data analytics, cybersecurity, agile software development
  • Extensive contacts within Westfields to include the acquisition, requirements developments, and mission organizations
  • Proven track record of teaming and developing mutually beneficial partner relationships with peers and other vendors
  • Excellent business acumen; strong understanding of Federal procurement, contracting, and financial rules and regulations
  • Ability to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Able to effectively diagnose client needs, propose and close solutions that have measurable and positive business impact
  • Exceptional strategic selling skills including discovery, ROI development and presentation, sales cycle maintenance, tactical planning and closing
  • Strategic thinker able to maximize the full breadth of company solutions and services
  • Demonstrate solid leadership qualities and organizational skills in coordinating the Business Development, BD cycle
  • Manage the BD cycle using weekly pipeline and account reviews to include all stakeholders
  • Establish, build, and maintain positive, professional relationships and interaction at all decision levels
  • Maintain a highly credible and professional profile within the industry
  • Participate in trade shows and other industry events as appropriate
  • Communicate issues, concerns and problems in a solution-oriented manner
  • Provide intelligence to the organization on competitive activity
  • Current TS/SCI clearance, or a current TS with eligibility to obtain SCI

  • Demonstrated capacity to stay on top of current trends, issues, and technologies in mission areas through participation in industry groups and conferences
  • A bias for action and orientation towards solving problem areas
  • Ability to actively communicate with, inspire, and motivate all levels of staff
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box, acting strategically and proactively
  • The candidate must exhibit proven professional and managerial skills along with the leadership traits and personal characteristics which are necessary for success in senior management.
