The Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining products and systems to enable Sage People’s business plans and long term objectives based on the Salesforce platform. The current focus is on developing a payroll system and a number of scalable microservices. The Developer will design, develop and deliver high quality products and/or systems and services that exceed customers’ or business partners’ expectations and will proactively share their own knowledge for specific technical solutions and business processes in their area of responsibility within a team focused on time and attendance within the Sage People product. Interest in secure software development, AWS platform services, Salesforce development and payroll is needed, but prior experience is not required.Key Responsibilities:• Contribute to quality activities, incl. peer reviews of estimates, designs and code• Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches• Be an active and enthusiastic team player. Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments.• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle• Maintain relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable.• Ensure all tasks are completed to the required quality standards.• Provide 3rd tier support and/or expertise for the area of responsibility Skills, know-how and experience• 3+ years experience in Software Engineering• Knowledge of one or many programming languages and frameworks (including at least one of C# / DotNet Core or Salesforce / Apex)• Be willing to adapt to significant changes in either technology or environment and train/up-skill to various technologies as needed• Know and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of software development.• Proven experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies• Ability to interpret and document user requirements and translate these into technical specifications and/or code Do you love where you work?
