IT Vendor Management Analyst

6+ months - potential contract to perm The Vendor Management Analyst serves as a consultant to our client's Technology Organization (TO) regarding the management of Vendors for technology related products and services. Our analysts are responsible for resolving issues, tracking performance, managing risk, identifying savings opportunities and communicating to all levels, both internal and external, regarding vendor related topics. Their goal is to lead all aspects of managing the vendors at a high level partnering very closely with TO Leaders and Supply Chain. Vendor Management is the process by which relationships with vendors, and the documentation that underpins them, are actively created, monitored and cultivated to ensure that business objectives are achieved. In addition, the Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for the following: · Managing the relationship with key technology vendors· Leads the internal process redesign work for the vendor management group· Participate on teams to develop and execute strategies that increase savings, efficiency and reduces risks· Provide deep analytical, communication and project management skills· Reporting and tracking of KPIs· Arranging and conducting Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs)· Setting mutually beneficial business goals· Developing escalation processes and key contacts lists· Resolving disputes· Provide proactive Vendor Management so that the terms of a contract are adhered to so that contractual benefits are realized· Resilience and continuity - by maintaining a constant dialogue with key Third Party vendors the business can assess any ongoing risks to supply and make alternative plans in a timely fashion if required· Compliance - periodic assessment of compliance so that any risk associated with legislation or company standards is minimized· Risk Management - Maintaining a close working relationship with vendors helps to reduce risk. Regular performance management of suppliers ensures that any issues are surfaced in good time and can be mitigated before they become a problem· Innovation – develop ideas for the company to grow and develop new technologies. Develop close relationships with vendors to position the company to take advantage of advancements in vendor’s products or services· Assists senior leaders in managing specific vendor relationships· Participates in the actual purchase process and verifies compliance with Technology’s purchasing procedures· Assists with assessment and management of contract and procurement risk· Conducts market analysis and identifies trends in the technology industry· Assists Technology organization managers with documenting requirements and vendor related issues· Creates and processes Procurement Requests (PRs)· Stays abreast of contract and purchasing compliance and routinely informs Technology’s customers· Serves as a knowledge resource for the Technology organization on existing contracts and agreements· Serves as Technology’s representative on interdepartmental project tea

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education:Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or IT

Experience:· Vendor Management skills· Strong process redesign skills· Problem resolution skills· Understanding of supplier management and contract language for information technology product and service agreements· Strong and comprehensive financial understanding· Experience with evaluating processes and enhancing with technology is desired· Contract administration experience with IT projects is desired· Experience with market research and vendor trends in the information technology industry· Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating issue resolution· General knowledge of infrastructure services, technologies, and applications is highly desired· Broad knowledge of management and operation of informationtechnologies (systems, networks, applications) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to effectively work both independently and as a team member· Ability to build strong relationships with both internal business partners and vendors· Strong project management skills· Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management as well as internal and external customers· Ability to adjust and demonstrate the appropriate sense of urgency to constantly changing priorities each day· Ability to make decisions independently· Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and obtain results by established deadlines· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills· Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and personal responsibility· Ability to quickly learn new tools, methods, and processes For immediate consideration please contact Denise Wicks at contact button below or call .
