Role: Sr. Manager - Document Systems

Location: Chandler, AZ

Type: Full-time permanent

Salary: $95,000+ DOE

Job Description Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the Document Management Systems (DMS) Department which consists of a Global Team of 20+. Manage staff for optimum performance. Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency for current and expanding activities related to integration of many multi-million-dollar businesses. Set goals, support, and maintain Corporate objectives, Global operations, expansion, and Business Units requirements. Maintain/develop relationships, position the DMS operations to meet planned growth, implement systems to process all work efficiently, and develop resources for continuous improvement and other projects.

Manage Team
  • Determine staffing requirements based on corporate requirements
  • Hire and train new staff
  • Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
  • Set employee goals and objectives
  • Develop staff to maximize potential
  • Monitor staff performance including performance reviews

Assigned Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and in a timely manner while optimizing resources
  • Delegate work duties to staff to attain objectives
  • Allocate use of available resources
  • Monitor and assist staff with work progress

Business Objectives
  • Meet business objectives. Report results. Seek improvements.
  • Apply strategic planning to determine company, department, or unit objectives
  • Evaluate current business processes and systems
  • Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
  • Establish and maintain controls
  • Formulate department/unit policies and practices
  • Coordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency
  • Facilitate the preparation and analysis of reports
  • Review performance data (activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels
  • Responsible for the achievement of department/division/unit productivity and quality goals
  • Ensure efficiency of Part Data entries; timely processing, 100% accuracy

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters is a plus
  • Experience at a Manager level or above: 6.5 years plus
  • Manager level experience in Document Control
  • Experience working with Global Resources to achieve Corporate and local goals
  • Knowledge of:
  • ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, Automotive, and Aerospace Industries
  • Document Control functions
  • Business and management principles and practices
  • Strategic planning
  • Knowledge of IT Systems development processes
  • Human resource management principles and procedures
  • Basic accounting principles and practices
  • Office administrative procedures
  • Proficient in relevant software applications, BaaN, SharePoint, MS Office, Adobe Pro, FrameMaker, Visio, Box, etc.
  • Audit experience is a plus
