Lead Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Marietta, GA that is seeking a Lead Architect for a remote position.Summary:They are hiring for a multi-year application rationalization effort that has enterprise-wide impacts on new product development, and the way the client actually runs all of their core revenue generating systems. Overall, this is a complete re-architecture and modernization effort.Kforce is in the process of building the 1st Scrum Team of 2, that will focus on building the messaging services using core Java, Quarkus (Spring boot will work too), and Azure DevOps. We are hiring 4 developers and a Team Lead/Architect.REQUIREMENTS: Java: Java 8 is a must; Java 11 is preferred Jakarta EE (Latest rendition of Java EE): CDI, Micro Profile, Quarkus, Open Trace, Config, Health, etc. JVM: Understanding of Open JDK vs. Graal VM Markup Languages: HTML, CSS, JSON(B, P), XML, Schema Core Concepts: Multi-tenancy, Multi-threading, high availability, fault tolerantCore Patterns: Messaging Semantics (Guaranteed Delivery, At least once, Ordered, Transactional, Secure) Service Oriented: (REST, gRPC, concurrency)Object Functional: Facade, Delegate, Wrapper, Wire Tap, Visitor, etc. Tools: Maven, IntelliJ Idea, Git, Agile tools (Jira or Azure DevOps) Additional Skills: Knowledge of Document Databases (Couch DB, Cosmos or Couchbase), Pulsar (pulsar.apache.org) or Kafka (kafka.apache.org)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
